Chick Nail polish in Moss: Swatches and Review

Hello fellow lacquer lovers!

Today I am so excited to share a new-to-me brand that I had been eyeing for a while and finally got a chance to check out!

Chick Nail Polish is a Big-3 Free line of VEGAN nail polishes that are high quality, eco-friendly, and BEAUTIFUL! I was vegan (still vegetarian, just kinda lazy on the whole dairy thing :-/) and it was so hard for me to find quality, non-hippie cosmetics that were also vegan. I still try to get my hands on vegan products whenever I can so this is awesome!

The first of the two I have is called Moss. It is a GORGEOUS dusty shade inspired by Army Green. Look at how shiny it is! The formula is BUTTAH. OK or Earth Balance ;-) But you wanna know the best thing? THIS IS ONE COAT. I know. I KNOW. My husband kept rubbing my nail because it was so smooth and shiny! I love that weirdo.

Indoors, no flash.

Indoors, flash.

You now have no excuse. Between this and Seche Vite, you can have your nails done in minutes and then go on with your life. Or be like me, do it right before bed! No sheet marks with SV topcoat!

I wore this for 3 days! I know that does not seem like a long time, but for a nail blogger it is – I usually change my polish every day (sometimes even twice). It wore great! No chips and very minimal tip wear. And still as shiny and smooth as the day I applied it!

Chick Nail Polishes retail for $9.00 and you can buy them on their website – or, if you are in the Chicago area, they are in several retail locations (check their site)!

Do you own any Chick polishes? I want to get my hands on ALL of the shades now!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. What a gorgeous, gorgeous color! I can’t believe this is one coat! (I *almost* said “…this is not butter,” but controlled myself). Love the vegan brands but don’t love the amped up prices since a number of brands lack the non-vegan friendly ingredients but maintain a stable price. But then again, indie polishes go up into the double digits, so who am I to talk price?

Regardless, this is lovely on you and glad your husband had three days with this shiny polish.

    • Surprisingly, I don’t have anything like it in my stash! I have one a little lighter and dustier, but I think the dustiness is what separates this from being a bright teal.

  2. Ooh I just placed an order. Beautiful work friendly green.

Which top coat did you use? SV? Did it peel (always peels for me on b3f polishes)?

  4. The more I look at this the more I like it….but…it is a lil too expensive for my pocketbook. Do you know of any dupes that are less expensive?
